First 2 Weeks of Work

Well, I've started work, and I must say that getting up early in the morning isn't as easy as it was. Haha. Think NTU should set the classes such that our final sem lessons all start at 0830. Then we'll all be used to waking up early.

An inspiring thing happened to me a few days back while I was going to work. I had just gotten out of the MRT station and was crossing the overhead bridge to go to the bus stop. It was crowded as usual and hence I couldn't walk very fast, but as I walked I noticed this lady walking a distance in front of who looked quite good from behind. So out of curiousity, I wanted to know how she looked from in front. Haha. Can't blame me for wanting to know... it kinda helps to brighten up the early morning ride.

So anyway, due to the crowd I couldn't walk in front of her till I crossed the bridge, but I did try. And as I did, I vaguely noticed a lady in pink beside me, but I didn't look at her (as I was trying to wiggle my way forward). When I finally got in front of the first lady I found that she was a "Bethoven" (translate to Chinese for the proper meaning). However, as I waited for the bus at the bus stop, the pink lady walked by and I would say that she was much more attractive.

Now in case you are wondering why I am described such an incident, the moral of the story is...
I suddenly realised that in life sometimes we are so focused in chasing after something that seems good from where we are (but may not be), that we forget to look around and enjoy what we have presently.
Just like how if I had looked around when I was stuck in the crowd, I could have noticed the pink girl earlier, not that it would have made much difference though...

Then the moment I came back to reality, I realised I missed my bus.

Ok, enough of the weird story. I have yet another decision to make now that I have started work and that is - What handphone to buy? My company doesn't allow camera handphones, which means I am stuck with using an old phone cos I can't use my beloved and newly bought Nokia 6230i... sob...

Anyway, after a long and hard look around, I've come down to 2 choices:
1) Motorola C168
2) Sony Ericsson J230i

Both of these phones cost around $110 or so and both have a in built radio. However, the SE one has a speakerphone while the Moto one doesn't. On the other hand, the Moto one has more space for SMSes and I think better build quality. So again I am stuck with a "difficult" choice. Any advice anyone? Suggestions on other phones are welcome too...

Well, I don't feel like buying Nokia phones cos I am still on contract and Nokia phones are expensive.

Plus altough I want a phone w/o camera, I want at least FM radio reception which the N6060 for eg does not have.

Checked out the prices. The SE J230i is going for $118 now at Carrefour. While a certain cat may be able to help me get the Moto one for $95...
