Farewell to my Nokia 6800
I did something quite major this afternoon - I sold off my handphone, a Nokia 6800. It was a good phone that never once (ok maybe not never but at least very very seldom) let me down and honestly, I kinda miss it now that I've sold it off. So in memory of my sturdy and faithful Nokia 6800, I am making this post.
Why did I sell it off? Well, cos it was getting old. Although it was still working fine (most of the time) and looked quite new, I was getting a little bugged by its limitations. Its screen resolution was too low, the phone had no built in camera and other little stuff. Basically, I wanted to upgrade my handphone. But if I bought a new phone, my current phone would definitely fall into disuse and become no more than another dust collecting item in my already crowded room. It had to go.
So why do I miss it? Well, probably cos I don't have a new phone yet and I currently have to struggle with an aging Nokia 3310. Another reason was that I didn't expect to be able to sell it so soon. I thought that no one would want to buy my old 6800, but unexpectedly, I got 10 offers in just 1 week, and they were good offers. So I sold it, much much sooner than I expected. I guess on the bright side, my 6800 is now in the hands of a new owner who would hopefully treasure it and use it, instead of having it lying around in my room just collecting dust, so I guess it's the right decision.
Well, to end of this post here's a picture of my old, sturdy and faithful 6800 together with all its accessories. May it stay in good working condition for a long time to come...

Oh...sorry, was busy with my Programming Language tutorial. The tutorial is like a freaking lab assignment.
"Q1) Write a program in Prolog to...
Q2) Write a program in Prolog to...
Q3) Write a program in Prolog to... "
And the worst thing of all is that at the end of the day, the lecturer doesn't even bother much if the students presenting the qn for the tutorial dun do it correctly. As long as they do it nicely can liao...
oh erm is it??
i'm rather concerned if the answers posted are correct wor... coz we gonna use it as reference... :(
i wan a new hp too :P still using nokia 8250 now though i've one ... irritating samsung x430 as well... i gotten it free that time during trade in...

Yar lor. Dunno if correct or not cos even if wrong she also juz come up, flash her slides for 30 sec. Talk a bit den say, "Ok, next question..."

Ok lah. I think nokia phones are ok. But they are quite complacent and haven't bothered to update their OS in quite a while. I mean their overall system hasn't changed much since the 3210 era.
Personally I think the Siemens OS is the best. Small features like auto-keylock, fully customisable button asssgnments, etc. Its the little things that they bother to take note of that makes it so much better.
*sony ericsson* -chants-
i'm a s.e supporter!! since like what cs has mentioned.. nokia has been complacent since 3210 came out.. not much of an improvment since then.. but the prices kept rocketing..
i like samsung too.. coz it's kinda lady like.. i like panasonic too! coz some of their phones are very girly.. hehe.. i like..

heee.. i like the way xw put it, very cute :)
hmm, i don like my samsung x430 coz the irritating flash light will keep blinking when there's message, can't turn it off :( then cannot send chinese oso... :(
hmm, i haven't try siemens yet... gee from cs description, autolock seems quite good! maybe i should try more of other brands before i make that sweeping statement hehe...
but then, hee, the fones now are better than the past... i still remembered my first was 3210 as well... it's so bulky and heavy and i often put it in my jeans pocket for fear it'd get lost... then to realise, it gets in the way so much when i sit down, go washroom etc...
:P:P:P
hee, goodnite everyone :)
hehe I'm using Siemens too, if u wan i pass ya to play around ^^
btw my first fone was also 3210.. hee, use for a long time man, that phone so big & bulky can even use as weapon to cull stray cats :P:P
