Did Uranus cause the recent Sea Quakes?

Here's an interesting theory - Uranus, the 7th planet from the sun, and about 3 billion kilometers from Earth, is causing the recent quakes of Sumatra. Seems a little far fetched, well, I have to say that I agree, but its an alternative viewpoint all the same, and may well be the truth.

Anyway, Uranus is supposedly closer to Earth than it normally is (2.59 billion km instead of the usual 3.14 billion km) as its orbit is elliptical. Hence, according to the report, its strong magnetic field is sucking out Earth's tectonic plates, thus causing the strong quakes we've been seeing so far. The bad news is that Uranus is plotted to stay in this "near-Earth" orbit till about 2012, so (if the theory holds true), be prepared for more uncanny Uranus induced natural disasters.

While the fact that Uranus' magnetic field is very strong (it has rings and at least 18 moons) whether it can affect Earth, especially through the great distance and through countless objects in space (including several large planets), is suspect. However, in Space many things that seem impossible could become possible, so this theory could still be true. But, in my opinion, the chances of this being the true cause is as good as my theory that (lately) Cat's lame limping leg caused unsual vibrations in the Earth's crust that resonated all the way from Singapore to Sumatra causing that already stressed fault line to slip, resulting in the sea quakes! :P

Uranus may be responsible for recent devastating Asian sea quakes because the mystery-shrouded "planet of calamity" is unusually close to the Earth, tabloid newspaper readers in Germany were warned on Wednesday.

Under the front-page headline "Uncanny Uranus", the report in theBild newspaper cited an array of experts, ranging from Nasa scientists to TV astrologers, saying the seventh planet from the sun possesses a "quadripolar" magnetic field that acts as "a giant cosmic vacuum cleaner".

This heavenly Hoover is literally sucking the Earth's tectonic plates out of their beddings, according to Bild, Europe's largest daily newspaper with more than five million readers.

it is not the cat's limp that caused the earthquake.. it was his fart..

why did i say tat? Coz from the word "Uranus". It hinted that it's from the cat's butt.. "Ur-Anus".. so from that, I gather that.. it has to be the cat's fart..
