I think I'm the first...
This morning I came in to work and switched on my PC, tried to get online as usual and lo and behold an error screen appears - "Password expired". Huh? What's that? *click Refresh* Still the same... sigh... guess I can't post this morning...
It turns out that that proxy server password, that I need to access the internet, has an lifespan of only 3 months. The problem is that they forgot that I'm an IA student and I don't have any access to any other network, so basically I can't change my password even if it has expired. Wonder what those people at the network centre were thinking. O.o
So in the end I had to call them and they said that they would give me a new password soon, which they did, just before lunch.
But in some ways this was a blessing in disguise as the main worry for me today is my NTU IA supervisor. I think I am the first (if not one of the rare ones) where I have to go see my IA tutor in his office, instead of the other way round. What do I mean? Check out the following extract from an email sent to me on last Thurs evening:
The weirdest thing is that he is going to visit the other 4 people under him in the 2 other local companies (at Jurong East and at Woodlands) for a second time. Yet he wants me to go down to see him. I'm really wondering whether he doesn't like me or my IA company.
So anyway I spent the whole morning updating my log book and doing up my program. But I don't really know what he wants. Hopefully he just wants the DPA/51 form and a glance at my (messy) logbook. Sigh...
>>Edit: After meeting my IA prof today I finally found out why he hasn't come down to my company. It is actually quite a funny reason/misunderstanding. Haha. My IA prof got this form stating under the Organisation "#Company Name#(Non-Interview)".
So he thought that he couldn't go down to interview me cos my company said "Non-Interview". Haha. Well, its not his fault actually. Think its NTU's admin's fault for putting such a silly thing in. So I told him that (I think) the "Non-Interview" is there cos when I selected my IA project it was under the non-interview group. Haha. Dunno why they must put it in the details, cause trouble only...
Anyway, I think my IA prof is quite a nice guy, unfortunately I couldn't tell/show him much of my work due to "security" reasons. But he said he'll go down to my company the next time. So that's good news! Hopefully then, with my IA supervisor's permission, I will be able to tell/show him more. :)

Dear IA Students (non-interview),
#ME#
#My Current IA Company#
Please come to my office (*his room number*) on 28 March (Mon), at 6pm, with your logbook and the filled DPA/51 form, for assessment.
Please confirm your availability.

>>Paiseh rx, edited your post a bit. Cos I would prefer the company name not to appear on the blog. Not so good. Haha.
>>smiles: The DPA/51 form is the form your sup will fill in when your IA prof comes to see you lor. Actually it resembles the form we fill in for the lecturer assessment.
I'm sure you can do well smiles. Just smile and show him your magic! All the best!
>>rx: Yah, same here. My IA sup say cannot show him the program due to security reasons. Den cannot show him some of the powerpoints as well. Hai...
Just now I present to him also cannot show him much. Hope he dun think that I was slacking away at work...
