Faith Healing

I am typing this post with my water bottle cap stuck to my right ring finger. Why you ask? Cos I can't get it out of course. How did I get it there? Well, that's the stupid part, basically I got my finger in the loop of the bottle cap and I can't get it out. Let's just leave it at that shall we...

In any case, today's article is on faith healing. Some people call it miracle healing as it defies the explanation of modern medical science, especially Western medicine. Imagine being healed of cancer or aids or some other incurable disease, just after a visit or a few visits to a someone who only prays or moves his/her hands around the affected area.

Is that possible? Well, I hope that it is. Imagine the countless "incurable" diseases that could be cured overnight! We would basically have no more health worries. And as to why modern medical science still cannot understand/accept it, well a good example to look at would be Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Just a few decades ago, medical science felt that TCM was no more than a witchdoctor's cure (despite the fact TCM predates Western medicine). Yet, we are currently hearing all the benefits of TCM and its use is currently being incorporated into many cures. So, maybe its the same with faith healing.

Hmm...I wonder if there's a faith healer nearby. I really need something to help with my sore finger (and something to get this d*mn bottle cap off!).

CLEVELAND -- An unprecedented number of faith healings in Cleveland are taking place in area churches at a faster pace than ever before, NewsChannel5 reported.

Ted Henry is sharing the stories of many Clevelanders who say they’ve been healed as a result of healing miracles. Those healed include friends, neighbors, prominent doctors, relatives, media personalities and even people from other states. What they have in common is that each of them has received some sort of physical transformation through the power of prayer.

Liz Simmons finally saw one of the healers after more than 20 years of multiple sclerosis. "So I saw him the following week, and that week I was healed of the MS. I do not have MS anymore," Simmons said.

>>Edit: To those who offered advice on how to remove the bottle cap from my finger, I sincerely thank you for your concern. Luckily the cap came off quite easily with a little soap. However my finger is still a little sore...

Anyway, got it out after I made the post. Went...no...sneaked to the toilet and used a little soap to ease it off.
